MEDITATION CHIAR IN WHITE

It started when my brother challenged me to duplicate some chairs he found very comfortable. In particular they had a head rest a feature that the chairs I have guid to date did not. The problem with extending the back slats up far enough to support ones head was that they would need additional horizontal structure. Adding this structure behind the chair seemed less like an extra part that was less than elegant. The break through was the idea that the head rest should be on the front and not only slightly elevate the head but also provide horizontal structural support for the back slats. The white painted chairs are made of inexpensive pine and are essentially prototypes of future chairs to be made with more precious wood.
